Details To everyone that has a aquatic center pass at the James Kennedy Aquatic Center, the rates are above and we are planning adjusting these current rates starting this Spring along with Senior Citizen rates. Like everything else, prices are going up and we have to pay for numerous things as well as staff. The City of Tipton installed a new software/system at the aquatic center this past September 2025 and is more advanced as our previous software. This software keeps track of who should be "in-district" and "out of district". In district means that you pay city taxes and will get a discount due to paying taxes within the City of Tipton limits. Everyone else are considered out of district. We took the map from the Cedar County's assessor's website and put into our new system so there is no question on who should be in/out of district. Even if you live a couple miles outside of Tipton you would still be considered out of district since you are paying county taxes.
