Love Lights are a perfect way to remember family, friends, business associates and others during the holidays. Many donors also giv e Love Lights as a meaningful way to memorialize loved ones. The illuminated Love Lights trees are located near the front of Mercy Hospital at the corner of Market and Johnson Streets during the holiday season. In 2016 Love Lights will support Mercy Hospice Care. In the seven years since Mercy began providing this service, more than 1,700 patients and families have benefited from their care. A Love Light and ornament combination is also available. The 2016 ornament is a gold snowflake with the words "Love Lights" in green. Each ornament comes in a beautiful box appropriate for gift giving. You may order online at www.mercyiowacity.org/lovelightdonation The list of Love Lights honorees will be published in the Iowa City Press-Citizen on December 5. In order to meet printing deadlines, your order must be received by November 4, 2016. All names will be published on Mercy's website, no matter when submitted. Please join us for the Love Lights Ceremony and reception at 5:15 pm, Monday, December 5, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, 310 North Johnson Street in Iowa City. The church entrance on Johnson Street is handicapped accessible. Free parking will be available at the church, in the Mercy employee lots and in the Mercy Medical Plaza ramp. If you order Love Light ornaments you may pick them up at the ceremony on December 5th or in the Mercy Medical Plaza lobby on Wednesday, December 7, from 7:30-9:00 am or 4-6:00 pm. Free parking is available for 30 minutes in the adjacent parking lot.
