You will find a number of excellent recreational opportunities in Tipton. The 33-acre City Park is home to the Tipton 'Tigers' football field and track, a lighted softball diamond, tennis courts, horseshoe courts, new playground equipment, a disc golf course, youth ball diamonds, and three pavilions with adjacent fireplaces. There are a number of additional recreational and park facilities associated with Tipton Community Schools.

A view of the Kennedy Family Aquatic Center from high above the fun.The Kennedy Family Aquatic Center, completed in summer of 2005, is a state-of-the-art recreation complex and is the only indoor/outdoor aquatic facility in the region. It consists of a zero-depth-entry outdoor pool complete with a speed slide and double flume slide, a lazy river, a six-lane competition-size indoor pool, and an impressive concession area complete with grassy areas and many umbrella tables for poolside enjoyment. Use the links on the right to learn more about the Family Aquatic Center project and to view the current facility schedule.

Tipton's Recreation Department not only manages and oversees the Aquatic Center, but also offers a wide range of recreation programs for youth and adults alike. Everything from youth soccer, basketball and tee-ball to an adult sand volleyball league is offered. This level of recreation service is extremely rare for a community the size of Tipton, and is a testament to the City's committment to enhancing its residents' quality of life.
