The City of Tipton maintains and operated its own local-access television cable channel. Found on Mediacom channel 5 in Tipton city limits, the channel brings important information to Tipton residents.

The channel capacity is provided by Mediacom, the local cable television vendor, as a term of their franchise agreement to provide service within city limits. The City also receives "franchise fees" from Mediacom which is used to support the channel and other city services.

Consisting of an informative "bulletin board" slideshow as well as locally-produced video programs, the channel is on 24 hoursa day, 7 days a week.
